What we Will Solve!

 

Our product is a water filter that is based off the filtration qualities of a natural oyster. The filter is designed the way an oyster is designed. Our mission is to clean toxic waters in areas where it is needed most, such as Constanza, Dominican Republic, where they need clean water. Our oysters will help solve the problem! Just get some oysters into the water, wait for them to filter, and then you have clean, drinkable water! Lastly, here at our school, we value hard work, determination, and the salvation of natural resources. For our newest product, Eco-Oysters™, we tried to use the least harmful resources we possibly could. We found a way to make our oyster filters eco-friendly and inexpensive!

Here we made a makeshift habit for Oysters and placed them in the container for a couple of days. The Ph of the ocean water was terrible at a 6.4 on a 1-14 scale. After three days the Ph reached 7.1, and maintained a constant neutral Ph around 7.       

This is one of the tests we took. Here we ran unfiltered ocean water through our filter. The most visible change is the hardness of the water. The most important change was the Ph level. Before the Ph level was 6.4 and after filtered was at 7.4 on a 1-14 scale. On a bigger scale the filtered water would be more neutral.
